Ahh... Greek drama. Always good stuff. Try Lysistrita (sp?) on for size. Or, if you're looking for some fucked up Greek incest porn, read Oedipus.

I'm still trying to find a book that will hold my attention, no matter how many bright, shiny things try to distract me.

Oedipus (or Oeddy, as my English teacher calls him) rocks. I remember seeing Antigone a few years back in Italy, but I didn't enjoy it much then. Perhaps I should give it another try. My favourite piece of Greek literature is definitely the Odyssey, cos I'm not a huge fan of war literature.
I thought the Iliad would bore me quickly, but it's so rich in secondary stories and shifts between men and gods that being bored is almost impossible. Except for some battle scenes, which seem to consist mostly of "And then Diomedes killed ___. Next Ajax killed ___". On the other hand, even these scenes can be interesting, as Homer usually tells the story of those who die and that of the relatives who will mourn them. So it depends, I guess.

I also often have problems with attention, I think sometimes you just have to really commit to a book to enjoy it. Or just stick with short books.

Sun Tzu - The Art Of War

I am totally impressed by this. First I thought this would be a hard lecture, hard to read and understand, but that isn't the case. Its straightforward and well written. A great read, totally recommended.

Sounds like a good book. is it a take off on the original, just added zombies? like, "Romeo and Juliet and Zombies"?

Pride and Prejudice is from Jane Austen - the Zombie stuff is from someone else.

However, I read the first one and like it very much :-) Even it is written for girls :-)

I just started reading it, but that is indeed what it sounds like. I've never read the original Pride and Prejudice.

That's exactly what it is. The author took Jane Austin's original text and just added zombies at appropriate points.

I noticed High Fidelity in english (dont know if it was ever translated, but im used to encountering german translations) sitting on my friends shelf this evening. i picked it up and couldnt put it down. i didnt realize it was british set in london, i kept picturing john cusack in the movie, which i think i recall being set in the US. but it was a great read, i read it in one sitting, from 10 til 6. pretty thrilled about the book. except for the whole breakup part (not that i havent had my apocalyptic breakups), i could identify with a lot of it. trying to match his lists was a tough one. although i recognized that i am definitely not a 'pop' music fan. could think more on this book.

now im looking for the sequel... high fidelity and zombies.

EDIT: ok, "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" is actually a book? must read this!!
