What happened to Radioghoulschool? Website is down and the station isn't available.

the support drive isnt going well this year, and i am afraid that the station will lose its server since ive been completely broke all year. there was already an outtage but i convinved them to give me two more weeks. if a few people put some into the pot, then i can save it.

How much do you need to keep the server online? Not that I'm Ms. Moneybags, but I do like the station.

its a bit more expensive due to the hosting and bandwidth requirements. i dont like to give away actual figures, but usually if a dozen or more people throw in a moderate donation a year it covers cost. i should try and make a bigger promotional effort. so far just a few status announcements and bulletins on facebook and myspace.

Last time I tried to donate the U.S. Dollars option wasn't working/available; I'll give it another shot though....

Methinks we should really make a hard push for donations on this site, and a few others.

How many listeners do you regularly have?

usually theres between 10-50 listeners when i check, depending on the promo i make. before podcasts and itunes radio it used to be almost 120 though, since it was one of the first internet radio stations dedicated to gothic music, and the only one that never played EBM/industrial gothic.

This is it - the deadline for me to pay the server and registry is next week, September 15th. So this is my final push for raising about €200. In the past year i tried to raise that much but havent reached it yet. If it doesnt come in by then, the stream will go down. Hosting a radio stream is more expensive, due to storage of thousands of files, bandwidth consumed exceeds what a normal website requires. I put some of my own money in myself, but this year and especially the last 6 months I havent had a dime to spare.

So Everyone that can put in 1, 5, 10 or more (in € or $ doesnt matter), your support is greatly appreciated, not only by Radio Ghoul School but by all its listeners!
