My question still stands. I can't and won't continue this debate. More people here need to chime in for me to reconsider.

Edit: Also please remember we're not including many if any noise bands. I'm willing to reconsider for Talk Normal, but I'd like to hear what you guys here have to say.

I listen to end enjoy Talk Normals Sugarland. It's also pretty goth-y in a sort of no-wavey way. Plus, Nominating "few if any" noise bands doesn't really make sense, seeing as Deathrock has had noise connections pretty much from the start (case in point, 45 Grave started as noise band Vox Pop, and had a noise interlude in the middle of "Slice O' Life") and most of the best Goth bands today incorporate a lot of noise elements (case in point, Zola Jesus). I mean, certainly don't add pure noise rock or harsh noise or whatever bands, but if a band could be accurately described as "Goth Noise", (as I could describe Talk Normal) then I think it belongs on the list.

I have the Talk Normal album. They're close enough to me, but I wouldn't get bent out of shape if they aren't on the list.

The EP/singles list is still looking kinda scant people...

Thanks guys for the thoughtful comments. I'll put Talk Normal back on the candidates list and give them another listen.

Are digital releases eligible for nomination? If so, I'd like to nominate We Miss the Earth's "A New Silent Era".

One small correction: you've listed Coranach as a band and their album as Stitched Eyes. In fact the band's name is Cross Stitched Eyes and the album's name is Coranach. (at least as far as I can tell with a bit of google-fu)

Also, to those of you with Spotify: based on my quick search quite a few of these albums can be listened to on Spotify. Colour me surprised.

List updated.

Edit: Mav's release is in my opinion an LP and so it stays on the candidates list.

It's the 15th and we'll no longer be accepting any submissions. Thank you all!

Expect the official nominees to be announced in the next few days.

Voodoo Church - "Eminence of Demons" should be on the disqualifications list just for the hell of it.

Find 'Tin Birds' by Blank Dogs for it.
