Don't forget about Castrati, please. Though it's a mini-album, I guess it fits well.
And one more, the latest album of the Duel from UK is very good.

Man alot of this stuff reminds me of my buudys Anything After (cough*shameless crass promotion*). Wish those guys would put out another album already.

Since when did everything go all shoegaze. Has this low-fi thing kind of blown up this year. Or have these bands been around for along time? Did the Ravonettes and Place To Bury Strangers start this scene back up?

Nomination

The Cemetary Girlz - Smoke my Brain

It's just a solid, fun, spooky album which highlights all the things we love about DR.

I Think I'm Turning Meto

I'm alone
listening to some lo-fi goth
I light some weed
but all it does is make me cough
I was in the deathrock scene
then complained 'bout better things
and you were still standing there
wondering why I came

I remember searching for more bands like mine
I was hoping they would change your mind
I remember a song, and spinning it just for me
I think I'm turning Metro......

You wore black
holding a clove in your hand
so undead
we spoke of cemeteries in France
minutes passed, I lost my chance
bands come first and then go fast
I can hear them now
And I think they sound the same

I remember a flyer pressed into my hand
"Bela Lugosi's Dead" filled my mind
I remember how I puked and made a scene
I think I'm turning Metro.....

I remember a song featured on the current blog
sounded strange, the chorus was a barking dog
I remember thinking this was the next big thing
yes I'm turning Metro....

I'm alone
reading some obsure 'zine
my favorite club
now features 80s tunes from the past
I was in a really hip scene
New York, London and Brisbane
and I was dancing there
dancing to a better grade

I remember searching for the perfect sound
I was hoping I could change your mind
I remember that song, and spinning just for me
I think I'm turning Metro.....
