Me too. It's not that Cemetary Girlz is a bad band, just terribly conventional.

Same goes for Murnau's Playhouse, IMO. I've seen them live a couple of times and thus far I've been really underwhelmed.

Yeah, I'm a little bit surprised that Murnau's Playhouse are leading though I honestly find them a great band.
My vote goes for Varsovie, and it's not the first time i call "Etat Civil" the best album of 2009.

there is a podcast that you can listen to all the artists..... The AAC version has all the bands websites along with album cover art.

I voted Xeno...it was such a tough call. I want to vote for Zola, Silk Flowers, The Horrors, Led Er Est, Factums...it was such a damn good year for music. :/ But if that isn't a damn solid album and has an amazing flow.

So I've been getting a few complaints about not including one other album and I just added it for album of the year '09.

Faith and the Muse Faith - "Ankoku Butoh"

Unfortunately by adding an additional choice to the roster, votes have been canceled out and reset to zero for god only knows why. So be sure to revote for your band of choice. Sorry for the inconvenience! This is the last time any bands will be added to the roster!
