Grave Jibes Fanzine and Fiend Wide Gloomy Club presents:

So, as it’s already pretty well known, a grave was stolen recently from the Hollow Hills Cemetery. August night (15th-16th) a meeting will take a place in Saint-Petersburg (Russia) with the purpose to figure out, who, how, and what’s the most important, why, committed this awful crime. The following bands will participate in the discussion:

Valery & The Greedies (Post Punk/New wave, Petrozavodsk)
http://www.myspace.com/valeryandthegreedies
http://vkontakte.ru/club2928079
Valery & The Greedies is the band, which plays classical post-punk/new wave in the most successful way in Russia, and without copying Eastern bands, these guys manage to create the original “labeled” sound of this genre. The band managed to release the first EP, to have several shows, some TV and radio appearances and… to brake up. There’ll be the band’s reunion on Stolen Grave Party with the renewed line-up.

The Poachers (Psychobilly, Saint-Petersburg)
On Stolen Grave Party you’ll be able to see and hear the Saint-Petersburg psychobilly cult band, which you’ve probably never heard of. Gathered in 1999, the musicians of The Poachers already had some experience of playing in several city’s psychobilly bands. The Poachers immediately expressed itself as the interesting and extraordinary band with its own musical approach. As the example, regarding to London’s «New Musical Express» opinion, it’s a power-jazz band. The Poachers has interesting stage live, sharing the stage with different Russian and foreign bands («Meteors» (UK), «Quakes», «Red Elvises» (USA), «Milwaukee Wildman» (Netherlands), «Stringbeans» (Finland), «Miss Treatment» (Finland), «Meantraitors», «Мистер Твистер» и др.), and strongly takes its place in the Russian psychobilly universe.

Grotesque Sexuality (Art Post-Punk/Coldwave, Saint-Petersburg)

Grotesque Sexuality is the first Russian band ever which was marked as coldwave. In spite of its “youth” age, the band already released a demo record “A Spell By Laugh” on the famous French web-label Zorch Factory Records, and was promoted on French and Russian radios. The band also had a bunch of gigs which could be called the successful ones.

Breathing of Bones (Punk-Deathrock, Bryansk)

The band from Bryansk, called Breathing of Bones, can be marked as the Russian deathrock hope. Released just a couple of demo records, the band got its listeners and fans in Russia as well as in other countries, also getting some promotion in Japan. Just recently the band played its first show, opening the gig for the Russian cult goth band Doppelganger, and now the band is busy with recording some new stuff. The band members are modest, and very captious to the stage life, choosing to appear on stage just for (gothic) punk fans and avoiding eclectic public.

Many thanks to you that you accepted the invitation. :)
I can say that I even haven't ever been on such festival as a visiter, so it makes me nervous and very impatient. Though, I'm sure that it'll be great. :)
