Blew the years old dust off the 'Blacklist' LP and put it back on the turntable, totally rediscovering how badass this record was. Tribal rhythms and doomy bass but with straight in-your-face, direct action working class protest lyrics more suited to angry punk rock. Very underrated, I would say. Anyone have any of their other material? I know they had a 12" EP in 1988 (The Blackout) and another LP in 1990 (Cupid In Reverse), all on Plastic Head Records (same label as earlier Every New Dead Ghost). Gonna have to track these all down now.

Ripped the 'Blacklist' LP here:

My copy also came with a couple of sheets of Xeroxed promo sheets and a nice glossy photo of the band. Will scan these and post them later. Very intrigued by this band!

I find the samply stuff at the beginnings a bit annoying, but this was definately as good as I'd hoped for. Ripped a CD to drive around Brooklyn last night.

Hi, I pulled out their Blackout 12" and recorded it onto the computer while listening to it. The file is still in .wav format so you can edit it, convert it, boost the volume, run click/pop removal software, etc. as you wish... The tracklisting is on discogs though the wrong cover has been uploaded there (a cropped version of the Blacklist LP). I never picked up the "Cupid In Reverse" LP. I recall Backagain.de used to have some later unofficial releases listed in their review section. They also appear on at least one comp: A Nightmare On Albion St LP from '92 .. believe I have seen them elsewhere too.
