Ok, i discovered the Album "Nowa Aleksandria" by polish punk/wave-band Siekiera. It's really amazing, a lot of good songs. I really like the cold sound of it, which makes a good combination with the slawish vocals. There's also a thread about Siekiera in this forum. Do you know any other good bands from eastern europe and russia - punk, deathrock, new wave?
Other good polish bands I know of are Dezerter and Brygada Kryzys.

Posted a couple polish bands in case anyone's interested. Note that most of the old ones that are still active shifted their sound far away from what they did in the 80s, so the links are just for starters. Even the most now-recognizable bands (1984, Variete, One Million Bulgarians, Aurora for instance) had diffculties releasing any LP's in that time due to censorship, overall economic situation etc. The four bands mentioned above had their "first" albums released well after 1999, sometimes most of their official 80's material consists of couple singles (if any) and that's it. There are are some youtube listings of polish new wave/postpunk/whatever you call'em bands and that is the best way to start i think.
