Bass:
John Doe (X)
Voice,
Maracas: Chris D
Sax,
Rhthym Sticks: Steve Berlin
Maracas,

This is the
earliest full length album. This is also probably more available since
Warner distributes Slash Records, and you can still get it at music
stores today (Buy
on CDNOW). It is an excellent album, including "See You In The Boneyard".
The music style defines the rest of the Flesheaters albums - deathrock,
psychobilly, musichaos, and cowpunk! This is an excellent album!

1982, Ruby/Slash Records, a J. Ruby Production
Guitar: Don Kirk
Bass: Robyn Jameson
Voice: Chris D
Saxes: Steve Berlin
Drums: Chris Wahl

Forever Came Today
continues where "A Minute to Pray..." left off, with punky,
jazzy chaos singing songs of confronting evil bastards, lonesome heroes
and songs of true companionship. Several of these tracks appear on collections
like the ones listed below, unfortunately not "Shallow Water"
and "The Rosy Hours", two great tracks, are only available
on this slab of wax.

This album is somewhat
more intimidating than the rest, straight down to the album cover. The
songs are more twisted and more anguish is pumped into this album than
previous ones. "Eyes Without A Face", the song off of the
"Return
of the Living Dead Soundtrack" (the greatest deathrock sampler
album next to "Hell
Comes Tou Your House" which the Flesheaters are sadly not represented
on). "Father of Lies" is even more evil, making me wonder
how "Eyes..." would be chosen over this one. Sadly this is
the only album to get "Father of Lies" off of. Still twisted,
still shouted, still chaotic, this won't let you down. i suggest tracking
this album down.

Greatest
Hits Destroyed By Fire
1987, SST Records
Voice: Chris D
Others: varried -
from several different releases and sessions
Contains previously unavailable tracks. CD has bonus
track.
I found this 12" EP cheap in a record bin, much to my elation. Raw and
more chaotic than many other Flesheaters releases, this album perhaps
captures the essence of the band. For if the Flesheaters weren't a chaotic
and psychotic band, then no one was. The songs here are alternates versions,
unreleased, and taken from some other albums (the first two from A Minute
To Pray), so the line ups are hard to calculate, but everything is explained
on an insert with full lyrics. The graphics are all show flyers over
the Flesheaters history that Chris D made and collected, makes for a
nostalgic look, sort of a punk rock yearbook. We'll Never Die is the
most standout track on the album. Recently I found it on CD. The CD
release has 2 bonus tracks, but does not come with a lyric sheet or
booklet.

Prehistoric
Fits, Vol 2
1990, SST Records
Vox: Chris D
Guitar: Don Kirk (1, 8-13) Dave Alvin: Guitar (2, 3, 7) Joe Ramirez
(5-6)
Bass: Robyn Jameson (1, 8-13) John Doe (2-5, 7) John Richey (6)
Drums: Chris Wahl (1, 8-13) Bill Bateman (2-4, 7) DJ Bonebrake (5) Joe
Nanini (6)
DJ Bonebrake: Marimba (2, 3, 7)
This is an
excellent collection of Flesheaters tracks, including some from A Minute
To Pray (above). The Flesheaters style remains consistent, still a mixture
of rockabilly, deathrock and punk, what we've come to expect from Chris
D. Some of the songs on this compilation are better than any on A Minute
To Pray.

Riot
1991, SST Records
Voice: Chris D.
Guitar: Wayne James
Bass: Glenn Hayes
Drums: Ray Torres
Backing Vox: Juanita
Myers, "Texas" Terri Laird
This album
is not as impressive as the earlier ones. In fact, the only track anything
like the Flesheaters we know is on Tomorrow Never Comes, though that
one song makes the album completely worth it, it is absolutely outstanding!
The others are more rock oriented than anything one might expect from
the Flesheaters. From mediocre to downright boring.

This album,
like Dragstrip Riot, isn't as impressive as the Flesheaters earlier
material, but it is a better release than Dragstrip Riot overall. The
sound quality is good, and the music is good, but none of the tracks
have really reached out and grabbed me yet.

1993, SST Records
Vox: Chris D.
Guitar: Stuart Lederer
Bass: Glen Hayes
Drums: Christian
Free
Backing Vox: Juanita
Myers, Madonna M., Terri Laird
This seems
to be a single with some bonus tracks thrown in as B-sides. Although
I don't know much about the history of the Flesheaters, this looks like
a single that followed a comeback hit that received radio play (hence
the radio edit). This is a return to the Flesheaters we all know and
love, and shows there is potential for a Flesheaters reunion in the
future. Well, we can only hope. I mean, if Samhain can comeback after
10 years, anythings possible! If You Want Blood is a cover of what I
think is a AC/DC song.
