Two evenings in the characteristic autumn fog in Milan, Italy. dedicated to post punk, a period of great aesthetics and experimentation that, immediately after a wave of iconoclasm and punk nihilism, was lost. At this festival, performing on stage are some of the key exponents of the gray center of gravity of English post punk, accompanied by bands of the emerging Italian and international scene.

Flowers is the latest full length from Seattle’s bleak and ominous Factums and is their second for the Sacred Bones label. Recorded between 2006 and 2007 but only now seeing a proper release, Flowers is dark and disturbing. The album has twenty two tracks that fluctuate from sound collage to soundtrack-esque moments as well as more structured songwriting. This album also has flashes of abrasive electropunk that has garnered them well-deserved comparisons to Chrome, Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle and much of the early Wax Trax catalog.
To order, just visit the Sacred Bones webpage.
Also, be sure to check out all the new additions to the Sacred Bones distro page like Zola Jesus, The Hunt, 13th Chime and more. http://sacredbonesrecords.com/distro/

Return of Influential Queen from the Vanguard of “Old Skool” Goth Rock. After playing what was to unknowingly be her last major public performance with Ghost Dance in 1989, lead vocalist Anne-Marie Hurst began a hiatus from performing of almost 20 years.
A chance meeting last year with Stan Greenwood (Guitarist with Skeletal Family, Anne-Marie’s band prior to Ghost Dance) led to discussions regarding the possibility of the pair working together again. Early 2009 saw the pair participating in numerous rehearsals / song writing sessions, leading to a collection of songs the duo were eager to perform, including revisiting prior material from the her previous bands. The result, a four piece guitar band, playing songs from both Ghost Dance & Skeletal Family that have not been aired for two decades, plus new original material.
Artery (Sheffield, UK) have recently re-emerged after 25 years, playing shows (upcoming in Vienna, 7th November) and released a new EP in February, 'Standing Still' on Phantom Power Records. They've just released a video from one of the songs on that EP, 'A Song For All The Lonely People'
This is it - the deadline for the server and registry is next week, September 15th. So this is my final push for raising about €200. In the past year I tried to raise that much but haven't reached it yet. If it doesnt come in by then, the stream will go down. Hosting a radio stream is more expensive, due to the storage and bandwidth consumed exceeds what a normal website requires. I put some of my own money in myself, but this year and especially the last 6 months I havent had a dime to spare.
So Everyone that can put in 1, 5, 10 or more (in € or $ doesnt matter), your support is greatly appreciated, not only by Radio Ghoul School but by all its listeners!

Outside of New York and London, San Francisco claims the oldest continuing punk-rock scene in the world.
From the innovative art-damage of San Francisco's Fab Mab in North Beach, to the still vibrant DIY ethos of Berkley's Gillman Street, Gimmie Something Better chronicles over two decades of Bay Area punk, including the Sex Pistols notorious final performance, Jello Biafra's bid for mayor, the creation of Maximum Rock'n'Roll, and the rise of the East Bay pop-punk sound that took the world by storm.
This definitive oral history explores the music, progressive politics, divine decadence and smartass wit of Bay Area punk - with members of Dead Kennedys, Avengers, Flipper, MDC, Green Day, Rancid, NOXF and AFI.

Twenty years after the publication of his first novel, "And the Ass Saw the Angel
", Nick Cave brings us the final days of Bunny Munro, a salesman in search of a soul. Set adrift by his wife’s suicide and struggling to keep some sort of grasp on reality, Bunny Munro drives off in his yellow Fiat Punto, Bunny Jr. in tow. To his son, waiting patiently in the car while he peddles beauty wares and quickies to lonely housewives in the south of England, Bunny is a hero, larger than life. But Bunny himself seems to have only a dim awareness of his son’s existence, viewing his needs as a distraction from the relentless pursuit of sex, alcohol, and drugs. When his bizarre road trip shades into a final reckoning, Bunny realizes that the revenants of his world—decrepit fathers, vengeful ghosts, jealous husbands, and horned psycho-killers—lurk in the shadows, waiting to exact their toll. At turns dark and humane—and with all the mystery and enigma fans will recognize as Cave’s singular vision—The Death of Bunny Munro questions the nature of sin and redemption, and lays bare the imprints that fathers leave on their sons.
