Magick Daggers
Black Diamonds EP 2007
2007 Manimal Vinyl

Magick Daggers came up on radar last year, and caught my attention with their séance-chic parlor room antics and thick basslines and heavy organs. My interest was doubled upon discovering that former Subtonix singer Jessy Panic was involved. The other core member Maximillon Avila has also been in (Antioch Arrow and Get Hustle).

Vocals are wailed from the bottom of a deep dark well, really overdoing it on the reverb there, overtaking the rest of the music. Grimey basslines bubble up out of the mud, meanwhile organ music churns through. Additional shrieks can be heard mingling in the background, as well as Cello and Theremin. Its chaotic and dark, but fans of the The Vanishing will certainly appreciate. They’ve saved enough material to put out a full length sometime in 2008
